Albert Francis Young Jr. (Butch)
Albert Francis Young Jr. (Butch), 71 passed away unexpectedly at Cape Cod Hospital on September 13.
He was a lifelong Chatham resident from generations of weir/trap fishermen.  Known as “Butch” to most, he was a well-established boat builder, building fiberglass work skiffs that are still used around the Cape today. Known as “Young Built Boats” or “Butchie Boats” by the local fishermen.
He became a volunteer first responder with the Chatham Fire Department at age 18.  During his tenure, he saved a man from a burning building and was formally awarded.
He also served as a reservist in the Coast Guard.
Butch was an avid hunter, taking many trips to his camp in Stowe, Maine.  In earlier years he enjoyed spending time at his family camp on Monomoy, playing cribbage and drinking beer with his buddies.
He is survived by his son Andrew, wife Melinda and three grandchildren living in New Jersey.  Daughter Heather A. Damon, husband Eric(Rick), two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Also sister, Ruthanne(Young) Eldridge, nephew Robert(Bob) Eldridge and brother David Young, all of Chatham.
He was a good and kind man.
Presented by his wife of many years Janet M. Young and family.
