CHATHAM — Two Hyannis teens will be facing felony charges Tuesday after they allegedly robbed the Corner Store Friday evening, brandishing a weapon.
Shortly after 7 p.m., officers were called to the popular restaurant at 1403 Old Queen Anne Road, where alleged victims told police that two men had entered the store and taken a large amount of cash. The witnesses said the men were armed and wearing masks.
During the investigation, Harwich Police officers located and detained a vehicle with four people inside. On further investigation, two of those people were taken in custody. Wilhelm Alvarez and Cesar Mata, both 19 years old and from Hyannis, are being charged with armed robbery while masked and felony breaking and entering in the daytime.
Police say their investigation is continuing, and additional charges are possible. The two men will be arraigned in Orleans District Court Tuesday morning.

Currently suspects Mata and Alvarez are being held without bail at the Barnstable County House of Correction, and are scheduled to be arraigned before a Judge at Orleans District Court on Tuesday, July 05, 2016.
There were no reported injuries to the public during this act.
