Miles Of Smiles In The 38th Chatham Harbor Run

CHATHAM The hill on Crowell Road is always the toughest part of the annual Chatham Harbor Run, but this year it saw more smiling faces crossing the finish line than not. Perhaps it was the ideal weather on Sunday, or the fact that nearly 200 runners earned themselves the bragging rights of having finished a summertime 10K, no easy feat.

Ian Nurse was the first overall runner in the event, coming down the chute at 34:46 for a pace of 5:36, while Liz Crowley followed moments later in fifth place overall to become the first female finisher at 42:41.

The annual event features both a 10K run and a 5K walk, this year won by Lb Koss with a time of 36:19, with Martha Edwards as the first female finisher at 38:04.

In keeping with race tradition, folks gathered at the Chatham Squire for the after party where they celebrated their efforts and victories. Results follow:
