Linda N. Jardine

Linda N. Jardine, age 89, of Chatham, Massachusetts passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Linda accomplished so much in her almost 90 years of life through perseverance and dedication.

She graduated from Northfield School for Girls (now known as Northfield Mount Hermon Schools) She continued her education at Skidmore College receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Her career began back in New York City where she worked in various positions in the banking industry culminating in her last position as an Assistant Vice President at the Bank of New York.

In retirement Linda gave back to the community by volunteering her time and taking on the responsibility of being the President of the Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary. In her 2 years as President she raised over $500,000 through various fundraisers to support the hospital. With an infectious smile and a caring personality she quickly became a dear friend to many people both in her career and personal life.

Linda was my hero in life whether she was at work shattering the glass ceiling or sharing of herself with family and friends. She is survived by her son James B. Hirsch, Jr, her late husband’s son David E. Jardine, and her brother Peter Nelson. Funeral services are private with a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later time.
